| Sunday School for the 20072008 program year will begin on September 9 at 10:00 with a Sunday devoted to the Millennium Development Goals. The Church of the Incarnation has become a ONE Episcopal Congregation, which means that we are joining with other Episcopal Congregations who are dedicated to advocating for the success of the Millennium Development Goals. “We commit ourselves one person, one voice, one vote at a time to make a better, safer world for all.” (from the One Campaign Declaration) On September 9, we will be focusing our Christian Education classes on “God’s Mission in the World,” using the first unit of a study guide of that title that has been prepared by the Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Washington Office. The remaining sessions will be the topics of the 2008 Wednesday night Lenten Study. We will also focus on the Goals in our worship service, and participants will have an opportunity to contribute toward a special offering designated for their realization.
Regular classes will begin on September 16 at 10:00 a.m., with adults meeting upstairs and the children and teens downstairs. The material for all ages is based on the Scriptures for Sundays. |
